In Nizhny Novgorod may appear metro stations "Monchegorskaya" and "South-West". This was reported in the Department of Transport and Road Management.

Their construction was included in the city program for the development of transport infrastructure for 2018-2030.

According to the authorities, the issue of the construction of these stations will be considered after the completion of work on the Freedom Square, Senna and Sormovskaya. Also in the plans was the station "Volga" on the Meshcher.

At the end of September, the draft changes to the master plan were submitted for public discussion to indicate its location. However, the mayor’s office said that in the near future the construction of the metro there is not planned.
