Ivanovo City Hall reminded about the Week of struggle with stroke
Stroke is getting younger and still remains one of the leading causes of death and disability.

Stroke is getting younger and still remains one of the leading causes of death and disability. But the good news is that up to 80 percent of cases can be prevented by keeping risk factors under control, according to the administration's social media page. And even more chances of a full recovery give a quick reaction. The sooner a person gets to the doctors, the better the result.
Remember the simple UDAR test. Ask the person to smile: If the corner of the mouth is lowered, it is an alarming sign. Ask to raise both hands: if one does not obey or falls, you should be alert. Ask for your name: slurred speech is also a cause for concern. If you have any of these symptoms, call 103 immediately. Don't expect it to go away.
For prevention, it is important to control blood pressure and cholesterol, move at least half an hour a day, monitor weight and nutrition, give up bad habits. And do not forget about medical examination: regular examinations help to notice problems in time that increase the risk of stroke.
