Ivanovo region put on the road “army” of 480 snowplows

The Government of the Ivanovo region confirmed the completion of preparations for the winter season. A group of forces and means has been formed in the region to ensure uninterrupted traffic and pedestrian safety.

In the region, 12 duty units are organized, ready to use more than 480 units of specialized equipment (KDM, graders, loaders).

More than 100 thousand tons of deicing materials were harvested at the bases of road services: sand-salt mixture, solid and liquid reagents.

On federal and regional highways with a total length of more than 3.5 thousand km organized round-the-clock duty.

In the regional center, where the MKU “Road City Management” is responsible for cleaning the roads, the car park has been re-equipped: screwmakers and paw snow loaders will enter the streets. For rapid snow removal, the city administration attracted contractors.

Monitoring of the road situation is carried out through an automated weather control system, the data of which are transmitted in real time to road services.
