More than 1,300 illegal migrants were expelled from the region

For nine months of 2026, bailiffs of the Nizhny Novgorod region delivered 1340 illegal migrants to the checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation. This was reported in the press service of the regional GUFSSP.

All the expelled persons had no documents entitling them to temporarily reside and work in Russia. Most of the offenders are natives of neighboring countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

Last week, the service escorted two Algerian and Afghan nationals. They waited for their expulsion at the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens. Now, for five years, entry to Russia for all violators is closed.
