From Sweden to Pskov SIZO: the subject of the Kingdom was arrested for crossing the border

The Pskov city court considered the petition of the interrogator of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia in the Pskov region. It was about the election of a preventive measure to a citizen of the Kingdom of Sweden suspected of illegally crossing the state border of Russia. About this "MK in Pskov" reported in the press service of the courts of the region.

According to the inquiry, the man without permission, intentionally, for personal household reasons, on foot, bypassing checkpoints, crossed the border from Belarus. He was detained by a border guard.

In court, the foreigner did not object to the detention. The measure of restraint in the case of small gravity was chosen due to exceptional circumstances: the suspect does not have a permanent place of residence, stay and registration in Russia.

The court detained him until December 6, 2026.
