Due to the repair of tracks will change the routes of trams No. 8 and No. 22

From October 17, in the Avtozavodsk district of Nizhny Novgorod, the reconstruction of tram tracks will begin on the section from the Avtozavodskaya metro station to Kirovskaya on Lenin Avenue. This was reported in LLC “Environmental projects”.

The tracks were built here in 1933, and in the 80s they were moved closer to the roadway of the avenue due to the construction of subway tunnels. There has been no major renovation since then. The contractor will have to replace 4.5 km of rails in single track, as well as perform a full range of works on replacing the rail track and the contact network.

Due to the work, the routes of two trams will be changed. No. 8 will run from the 52nd quarter to the village of Gnilitsy through Kirov Avenue, No. 22 from Sotsgorod-2 to the village of Gnilitsy also through Kirov Avenue. Traffic on the route No. 417 (Avtozavodskaya metro station - 52nd quarter) will be temporarily suspended. The completion date will be announced additionally.
