The republic took measures "to stabilize" the removal of solid municipal waste. This was reported in the regional Ministry of Natural Resources on Sunday, October 11.

The regional operator of Ecopark JSC is restoring the activities of the contractor, which previously reported difficulties in its work. Currently, special equipment is already working in Abaza, and from Monday morning begins work in Sayanogorsk, Tashtyp, Askiz and Bey districts of Khakassia, the report said.

The Ministry noted that in the process of decision was the issue of removal of MSW from individual microdistricts of Abakan, in the rest of Khakassia, garbage is taken out in normal mode.

To stabilize the work, it was decided to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of Ecopark JSC on October 12. It will appoint an acting director general.

“The decision will allow for the period of investigative actions against the General Director of JSC Ecopark to restore the full operation of the enterprise, including in terms of the legal possibility of settlements with contractors involved in the export of MSW,” the Ministry of Natural Resources explained.

The press release also stressed that they are taking all possible measures to ensure that garbage collection is timely.
