Land plot in historical settlement Ples from family of the head of Gazprom Gas Distribution Ivanovo seized

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Volga district of the Ivanovo region checked compliance with the legislation on the protection of cultural heritage in the city of Ples.

In 2010, an individual was leased for an indefinite period a land plot of 752 square meters, located in the area of Gora Levitan Street. The annual rent was only 188 rubles.

At the same time, the site is located within the boundaries of the protected territory of the Plessky State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve.

The approval of the authorized body for the protection of cultural heritage objects for the transfer of land for lease was not received. Regulatory zoning of the territory was also violated.

The Prosecutor’s office appealed to the Volga district court with a claim to recognize the lease agreement as invalid and claim the land from illegal possession. The claims of the supervisory authority were fully satisfied.

According to local media, the site was leased by the wife of Sergei Mazalov, the general director of JSC Gazprom Gas Distribution Ivanovo and the current deputy of the regional Duma.
