Victoria Popova: I don't have four hours for tea

About business trips, maple and cafeteria

In the first days of October, we recorded interviews with teachers - Teacher's Day had detailed conversations. We talked for a long time with the school director and the dean of journalism about the phenomenon of burnout of modern students. The scale of the disaster I imagined vaguely, until faced with a question in the forehead: "How do you not burn out?" And imagine the context: a young stylist puts paint on my hair roots and asks about burnout. I pick it up, yes, of course, the hair is on the shore and without a hat I do not go out in the sun. The master is noticeably nervous: "I'm not talking about that." I mean burnout.”.

For the first time in my life, I'm confused. I can’t find an answer, and I think to myself: the gap between generations is becoming more and more boundless. We speak the same language, we use the same words, but their meaning is constantly slipping away. Even context doesn't help build bridges. "Okay, how do you not burn out?" - I show compassionate attention. The master in autumn, in all colors, tells that he is saved by tea ceremonies: he comes to a special institution, orders a hot drink and drinks it for three or four hours to slow down, reboot, recover. I'm jealous of myself. Where can I find four hours in a day to eat? I don't have any.

Apparently, from burnout, I am saved by an additional load. Recently, she joined another TV saga - about traveling around the country. And now in any free moment, I run from Minsk for a couple of days on a business trip to cities and villages. And I love it so much! Cold hotels, rare snacks at gas stations and endless meetings with people who are busy.

I visited Borisov last week. In the training center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, they gave an impressive simulator to feel: a real passenger aircraft in which pilots and flight attendants from all over Europe master evacuation skills, not only ours, is a truly unique simulator. At the car factory, which has grown once again - now it's a real city in the city - it struck me how many young people work on the lines. By the way, tea ceremonies are also provided there: every two hours a 10-minute break. But young people use it in their own way: mostly sitting on phones. Borisov-Arena has a new roller ski track with a picturesque forest route. In the center of the city, fountains and rotundas, space attractions were erected. They put in order the pedestrian bridge over Berezina - how beautiful it is, guys.

I returned to the hotel in the night on such adrenaline that for a long time I did not notice how the cold creeps under all clothes and literally paralyzes. Heating hasn't turned on yet. I went to the maid to ask if there were any heat fixtures. She brought an extra blanket, turned the air conditioner on for heating and said good night.

In the morning, in the hotel window, I saw the crimson shades of a sprawling maple and almost burst into tears from its marvelous beauty. I had chicken pancakes for breakfast. "More sour cream?" the bartender winked, generously watered pancakes and brewed the most delicious coffee in town. Oh, my God, seven in the morning is such a friendly service. I overheard her chatting on the phone with her schoolgirl: “You come, call me.” It's dark outside, I understand mommy. And although we often scold modern parents for overprotection, it seems to me that love and attention on their part can not harm children. I went out with a suitcase to the elevator - the bartender caught up with me and straightened the collar on the coat. My disease: forever something sloppy wraps. And that was the second time this morning that I almost cried.

What wonderful people we have! There is so much attention and warmth where the energy of crazy money and advanced technologies may not be enough. But human participation redeems everything.

That's about how I don't burn out. However, I am afraid that after such a recipe, my reader will either write me down as an incorrigible optimist, or advise you to wear a hat, just in case. Well, everyone has their own: a variety of cunning ways to get sick, and, most importantly, to recover.
