What professions to choose in Belarus in 2027 to easily find a job
What professions will be in demand in Belarus in 2027: working specialties, engineers with digital skills, doctors, teachers, drivers, IT specialists and social workers.

In 2027, the Belarusian labor market will need skilled workers, engineers with digital skills, doctors, teachers and social specialists. This conclusion follows from the current vacancy structure and the long-term forecast of personnel needs prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus.
Employees will retain leadership
The main trend of the Belarusian labor market is the high demand for skilled workers. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, working specialties account for about 70% of all vacancies.
The most popular drivers, sellers, electricians, tractors, locksmiths, machine workers, adjusters, electricians and builders. Workers in these professions are needed by industrial enterprises, construction organizations, transport companies, trade and utilities.
According to the Ministry of Labor, skilled workers are the foundation of the economy. In the coming years, employers will be particularly interested in employees who are able to not only perform standard operations, but also work with modern equipment, automated lines and digital control systems.
Engineers will need digital skills
In 2027, the demand for engineers will remain, but one diploma for successful employment will not be enough. Employers need professionals who understand production processes and can use digital tools.
We are talking about engineers-technologists, designers, specialists in automation, robotics, industrial safety and equipment maintenance. An additional advantage will be the skills of 3D modeling, data analysis, computer-aided design and work with enterprise information systems.
In the long-term forecast of labor market needs until 2030, the Ministry of Labor separately allocates engineering workers with additional digital competencies. This means that specialists at the intersection of technical education and modern technologies will be promising.
Doctors and teachers will always be needed
Another important area is the budget. In health and education, there is still a need to replace retired professionals and to expand the workforce.
In medicine, doctors, nurses, paramedics, specialists in laboratory diagnostics, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, doctors of ultrasound diagnosis and rehabilitation specialists are in demand. The list of the most popular professions of Belarus for 2026 includes, in particular, representatives of medical specialties.
In education, primary school teachers, teachers of mathematics, physics and foreign languages, educators, speech therapists, defectologists and teachers of additional education will be needed. Digital literacy and the ability to work with electronic educational platforms are becoming increasingly important for such specialists.
Demand for social services will increase
The ageing of the population increases the need for workers who help the elderly and citizens in need of constant care. Therefore, social services, rehabilitation and long-term care will develop in the coming years.
Belarusian organizations will need social workers, care specialists, rehabilitation specialists, psychologists and employees of social protection institutions. These professions are not always considered prestigious among applicants, but the demand for them will be stable.
The Ministry of Labor also considers the social sphere to be among the areas that will actively develop in the coming years.
Drivers, logisticians and trade specialists
Drivers will remain one of the most sought-after categories of workers. According to the Ministry of Labor, there were about 7.3 thousand offers for drivers in the republican vacancies bank. About 2.8 thousand vacancies were available for sellers, about 2.7 thousand for electricians, and about 2.3 thousand for tractor drivers.
Demand for transport specialists is supported by the development of trade, delivery, industrial cooperation and long-distance transportation. In addition to drivers, employers need logisticians, dispatchers, storekeepers, warehouse complex operators and transportation specialists.
What will happen to the IT professions
IT will remain an important field, but the market will become more demanding. For beginners without practical experience, it will be more difficult to compete for jobs, while specialists in cybersecurity, data analysis, automation and artificial intelligence will maintain good prospects.
Employers need not just developers, but specialists who understand the specific tasks of business and know how to implement technologies in production, finance, logistics, medicine and public administration. Therefore, the most profitable strategy will be the combination of IT competencies with a specific industry.
What skills will help you find a job
Regardless of your chosen profession, in 2027 practical experience, ability to learn quickly and willingness to master new hardware or software will be valued.
The applicant will be helped by digital literacy, technical thinking, knowledge of occupational safety, the ability to work in a team and the availability of related qualifications. For young professionals, targeted training can be an important advantage, since it allows you to link education with a specific employer in advance.
Employees who plan to change professions should pay attention to retraining programs. Training in areas where there is already a shortage of personnel: in industry, construction, transport, energy, medicine and social sphere will be especially useful.
In 2027, qualified workers, drivers, engineers, doctors, teachers and social specialists are likely to remain the most popular in Belarus. At the same time, the demand for workers who are able to apply digital technologies in manufacturing, healthcare, education and business will grow.
The main conclusion for those who choose a profession or plan to retrain: the most promising will be to combine a basic specialty with practical and digital skills. This approach will increase the chances of employment and will allow you to count on a wider range of vacancies.
