The Kalugans were told what not to do on Fedorina evenings
Today the church remembers the Monk Theodore of Alexandria

Today the church remembers the Monk Theodore of Alexandria. She lived at the end of the fifth century in Alexandria. She was married and lived in love and harmony, but once succumbed to temptation. To show her remorse, she cut her hair, changed into men's clothes, and entered the monastery under the name Theodore, where she carried out heavy obedience for eight years. When she was slandered and expelled from the monastery, for seven years she lived not far from the monastery in a hut and raised a strange child.
On this day in Russia, women gathered, fermented cabbage, spinned and knitted to songs and jokes. The men removed the last onions, checked household buildings and supplies.
Our ancestors considered it a good sign to wear something golden on this day.
Today it is better not to pick up things found on the street, not to start important things, not to drop dishes. It is also not recommended to wash your hair, gossip and pretense.
As MK in Kaluga reported earlier, Kaluga residents were told about the bans and traditions on September 23.
