Kazan UNICS defeated Yekaterinburg Uralmash with a score of 69:68 in the first match of the intraseason tournament Winline Basket Cup. The game was held in Yekaterinburg.
For both teams, this meeting was the first in the current Cup draw.
The defense of the participants of the match worked well, but there were problems with the attack. At the beginning of the meeting, UNICS selected 15 points, while Uralmash was limited to 11. In the second stint, the hosts took over and completed the first half, having a margin of two points in the asset. After the break, the situation on the court did not change: the teams still inaccurately threw on the ring. The last part of the meeting turned out to be confused and poor on goals scored - 16:11 in favor of the team from Yekaterinburg.
For the second year in a row, Kazan UNICS performs in the Winline Basket Cup. Earlier, in the 2025/26 season, the team from Kazan obtained silver medals of the competition. Now in Group B, the teams will play against Lokomotiv-Kuban, Uralmash and FMP from Belgrade. Recently, the Krasnodar club defeated the Serbian team with a score of 90:76.
On November 1, UNICS will play with Lokomotiv-Kuban in Krasnodar. This meeting will be part of the regular United League tournament, and it should start at 14:00.
