The Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein during a working trip to Moscow on October 9 held talks with the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov. The main topic of the meeting was the current state of affairs in the region and measures of federal support.
The head of the region noted that, despite the continuing difficult socio-economic situation, the authorities of the region continue to fulfill obligations to residents. Construction, repair and development of infrastructure are underway. According to Hinstein, these processes would not have been possible without additional assistance from the Ministry of Finance and the Government of the Russian Federation.
During the report on the implementation of the regional budget, representatives of the Ministry of Finance noted a positive trend in the growth of the region’s own revenues in the current difficult conditions.
The key point of discussion was the topic of uninterrupted provision of housing certificates, as well as compensation of salaries to employees of enterprises of border territories in forced downtime.
In addition, Alexander Khinshtein informed the Minister about the preparations for the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Kursk. The federal department expressed its readiness to support the project to create a “quarter of inventors” in the city.
The Kursk region is in the attention of all key federal structures. Direct dialogue with the center allows not only to quickly solve current tasks, but also to create a basis for the further development of the region, the governor said.
