Doctors of the Spasska City Hospital in Primorsky Krai rescued a 54-year-old patient with a severe complication of peptic ulcer. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the region in the MAX messenger.
Upon admission, the man was diagnosed with two stomach ulcers. One of them was bleeding, and the exit from the organ was so narrowed that food could hardly pass further.
For a complex intervention in Spassk-Dalny arrived the head of the gastrosurgical department of the Regional Clinical Hospital No1 Ivan Shulga. Together with local surgeons, he removed most of the stomach and restored the patency of the digestive tract.
The operation was performed by a low-traumatic endoscopic method - through small punctures, avoiding a wide incision. The patient successfully recovered, was discharged home and continues to be observed by a surgeon in the clinic. His condition is assessed as satisfactory.
