Khrenin opened an updated training center of the Military Academy in Borisov district

Today, November 6, in the Borisov district, the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Lieutenant-General Viktor Khrenin, opened the updated training center of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus. Also in the solemn ceremony was attended by the generals, in different years headed a leading military university and led the development of combat training of the Armed Forces, writes sb.by.

Belarus has a good tradition of celebrating public holidays with good deeds. Every year, on the eve of November 7, new and updated facilities are opened in various parts of the country, Viktor Khrenin noted:

- The training center that we are opening today is not just an updated educational and material base. These are fundamentally new modern facilities that will allow training future officers taking into account the changed forms and methods of warfare. When creating them, modern trends in combat were taken into account, first of all, the experience of the Russian Federation during a special military operation.

It is at training grounds and in training centers that military skills are forged, high-class specialists are trained, character is tempered. And it is very important that one of the most modern training centers is opened in the main military university of the country, which performs the most important task - the training of future commanders, the Minister of Defense emphasized

- In the opening training center qualitatively updated existing, as well as created fundamentally new objects — waterdrome, track for training piloting FPV drones and a number of others. The training center includes several tactical training fields, fire camps. The established base will allow to carry out training as part of small groups and units, and to practice classical methods of training troops. The capabilities of the training center will ensure the development of tasks of various types of troops: motorized riflemen, tankers, artillerymen and others, in almost all specialties.

During the large-scale reconstruction of the training center, an area of artillery firing positions was created, allowing direct fire from D-30 howitzers and from closed positions from mortars. A platform for sports is equipped: a football field, modern treadmills, a single obstacle course, simulators and gymnastic shells are installed. Four residential and one staff module equipped with autonomous heating were built. Equipment of a fleet of combat training vehicles and a training ground with a waterdrome for practicing the skills of driving infantry fighting vehicles with overcoming water obstacles has also been completed. The head of the defense department got acquainted with the modernized infrastructure of the training center of the Military Academy and watched the actions of cadets in classes on combat training. Already in the morning, future officers practiced the techniques of moving around the battlefield, storming the city and the skills of controlling drones, firing from combat vehicles. The training center has been very transformed, noted the cadet of the Faculty of Military Intelligence of the Military Academy and :

- Training in my specialty has changed dramatically - new simulators have appeared, the complex of practical skills has expanded. For example, in tactical medicine classes, we use drones and robotic systems to evacuate wounded people for the first time. An excellent base for training in almost all specialties has been created. I am sure that the updated facility will ensure not only the development of existing skills, but also the acquisition of new experience, taking into account modern trends in combat.

Also among the novelties of the updated training center is a special track for training in piloting FPV drones. Head of the Department of Special Training and Combat Application of Unmanned Aircraft Complexes of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus Colonel Nikolai Vladimirovich Valuev told in more detail:

Not only the training track of FPV drone operators, but also the field of combat use of UAVs. They allow training cadets in the combat use of unmanned aircraft systems: adjustment of artillery fire, guidance of aviation, as well as the discharge and delivery of goods for various purposes. The track is designed to teach the initial skills of piloting FPV drones. In the future, the received knowledge cadets apply in the course of complex classes in tactics and tactical and special training.

The renovated training center is a continuation of the great undertakings of those who in different years headed the Military Academy, and also led the development of combat training of the Armed Forces. Many of them also attended the opening ceremony of the renovated training centre. Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on National Security, Major-General of the Reserve Gennady Lepeshko (head of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus from July 2021 to March 2024), after familiarizing himself with the modernized facilities, noted:

- The situation develops in such a way that the officer must have a large amount of knowledge both in information warfare and in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, know new ways and forms of application of units of the Armed Forces. And the opening of such a training facility of the material and technical base of the Military Academy makes it possible to train modern officers who are ready to perform tasks together with their subordinates and teach them modern methods and forms of warfare, the use of modern weapons and military equipment.
