In the Kaliningrad region since the beginning of the year, almost five thousand people turned to doctors after tick bites. Such statistics were shared in the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

In total, 4,984 people applied for medical care, including 1,414 children. 17,209 Kaliningrad residents were vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis, including 3,195 children.

Since the beginning of the year, doctors have registered nine cases of tick-borne viral encephalitis and 39 cases of Lyme disease. In Rospotrebnadzor noted that the incidence rate corresponds to the average long-term indicators.
