Klychkov congratulated Orlov residents for success in agriculture

For the past two days, Moscow hosted the Golden Autumn, an annual forum on agriculture.

“I am glad that from the hands of the Minister of Agriculture and the Prime Minister, our Oryol residents received awards for their success in agriculture,” Oryol Region Governor Andrei Klychkov said during a live broadcast on the social network VKontakte on the evening of October 9.

The head of the region spoke in more detail about the successes in this industry.

Our sugar factories have already produced 100,000 tons of sugar from beets. This is a great harvest, the season is still going on. We have almost reached the level of 4 million tons for grain, legumes and oilseeds. We still have to remove almost 72 thousand hectares of corn for grain and 60 thousand hectares of sunflower. Part's gone, part's gone. I think that we will boldly fulfill the plan of 5 million tons this year, Andrei Klychkov said.
