Praskovya Erdnievna Alekseeva is an ascetic, researcher, founder and main long-term keeper of the library fund of Kalmyk science. The book “On People and Time” is a collection of her scientific and popular scientific publications about the history and culture of the Kalmyk people and Oriental studies in general. The author opens little-known pages about fellow tribesmen - figures of the time of Peter I, about the Kalmyk roots of Mendeleev and Kornilov, about the combat path of the 110th Separate Kalmyk Cavalry Division and Kalmyk partisans of Yugoslavia. The work also contains ethnographic and literary notes.
You can discuss the book online and in the Amur-Sanan library on Sunday at 15 o'clock.
