Comfort for wards: Muryginsky boarding house renovated
In the Kirov region continues the implementation of a large-scale program to modernize social institutions

During 2026, capital and ongoing repair work is planned to be carried out at more than 50 facilities subordinated to the regional Ministry of Social Development. The main goal of the reforms is to create safe, modern and comfortable conditions for permanent residence of wards.
One of the successfully completed projects was the renewal of the intensive care department in the Muryginsky boarding house Rodnik.
The builders completely put in order the bedrooms, where they updated the decoration of the walls, floors and ceilings, as well as installed new comfortable furniture. Public places were also transformed: overhaul took place in the corridors, foyer, bathrooms and dining room.
Complex works at the facility continued throughout 2025-2026, and their total cost amounted to about 6.5 million rubles.
Modernization of infrastructure, improvement of adjacent territories and equipping social institutions with modern equipment remain key areas of the social policy of the region.
The regional government pays close attention to improving the quality of life of the elderly and disabled people in the care of the state.
The Governor of the Kirov region Alexander Sokolov stressed the need for high-quality repairs in all boarding houses of the region until 2028, so that each ward lived in decent and comfortable conditions.
The head of the region also noted that the implementation of this task and compliance with the deadlines for work are taken under special control.
