Comedian Dmitry Pozov was not allowed in Voronezh clubs because of jeans and sneakers

Voronezh humorist and participant of the project “Improvisation” Dmitry Pozov shared a story about how he was not allowed into several institutions of his native city due to non-compliance with the dress code. Together with friends, he planned to look into Voronezh clubs, but faced with unpleasant face control – the artist was dressed in jeans and sneakers. Pozov said this in his telegram channel Pozov Live on Saturday, October 3.

He said he doesn’t mind when people do their job. But if he was drunk, dirty, dangerous, or smelled bad, then no question. But in the 26th year he considers it permissible to visit establishments in sneakers, and not in moccasins or classic shoes. And then my friends and I are denied, and they do it like this. Let's be honest. You can refuse politely, but not letting you feel how bad we are, said Dmitry.

The comedian believes that the gaze with which the staff of institutions throws guests from head to toe is an unpleasant relic of the past. The staff of the institution has the right not to let a person in because of his appearance or behavior, can refuse if the dress code of the event was clearly prescribed in advance, but it is not necessary to make him feel ashamed for his trousers or his own financial situation.

In the end, Dmitry and his friends still allowed in both establishments, but the company almost immediately left. The artist noted that in no other city in Russia he faced a situation where he was not allowed anywhere because of clothes.

“I love Voronezh so much. It's sincere and honest. But. Loved ones always hurt the most. I am sad that such a cool city is stuck in zero, Pozov wrote.

Dmitry added with irony that he will work more actively, better and more persistently, so that his “almost hometown will one day accept him.”.
