The State Control Committee constantly monitors the situation on the consumer market. In 2026, during inspections and monitoring, the activities of more than 1,400 retail facilities were studied. This was reported in the press service of the KGC, writes sb.by.

The largest number of violations is associated with non-compliance with sanitary norms and rules, including the sale of goods with expired expiration dates.
For example, in September, in 16 shopping facilities of the Mogilev region, the sale of 51 names of food products with expired expiration dates was identified and stopped (some products were overdue for more than 200 days). Among the common violations is non-compliance with the list of goods mandatory for sale. Thus, in the Vitebsk region, such facts have been established in the shopping facilities of the Braslav district, in Vitebsk and Novopolotsk.”.
Pricing violations, facts of sales of products without documents confirming quality and safety, non-priority laying of domestic products on the shelves of retail facilities, including large hypermarkets, were revealed.
“Since the beginning of the year, 71 objects of trade have been suspended for gross violations of the law. According to the results of control measures, more than 90 regulations and almost 400 recommendations were sent to the owners of retail facilities and catering facilities to eliminate the revealed violations and shortcomings. 51 business entities and 187 officials were brought to administrative responsibility, the KGC concluded.
