Control at each stage: why Vitebsk cable received the State Quality Mark

LLC "Production Association "Energokomplekt" today produces more than 200 thousand mark sizes of cable and wire products from 6 kW to 330 kW, which is supplied to the CIS countries and far arc. This was told to journalists today during a press tour of enterprises of the Vitebsk region, awarded the State Quality Mark, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

Energokomplekt is a young production, its history began in 1992 as an assembly plant, and in 1997 an enterprise was created on its basis, where cable and wire products were produced and sold. Today, the plant produces more than 200 thousand mark sizes of such products from 6 kW to 330 kW, which is supplied to the CIS countries and far arc. In total - in more than 30 countries.

General Director of LLC "PO Energokomplekt" Nadezhda Podgayskaya told about the pride of the enterprise - cables with insulation made of crosslinked polyethylene 6-330 kV, which were awarded the State Quality Mark by the end of 2025.

- We have come a long way to this award, it is not our last. This is the result of the great work of our team, not only engineers, but also operators on the lines. Products are used in the energy sector for connecting substations, nuclear power. The cables are designed to transmit and distribute electrical energy in medium and high voltage networks. They are used in projects where the stability of power supply, equipment life and predictability of operation in various conditions are especially important, the Director General explained.

She noted that the company's partners are the largest operators of energy systems in Belarus, the CIS, and foreign countries.

- Therefore, we take the quality of the supplied raw materials very seriously, and, accordingly, large public and private companies are also suppliers of the raw materials base. Our company has a quality management system, the first certificates for which were received in 2004. Control includes inspection of incoming materials, control of technological stages and testing of finished products in its own accredited electrical laboratory. Production data are stored in stages, which helps to trace the history of the manufacture of the product, said Nadezhda Podgayskaya.

Quality control begins with the raw materials, which are checked, and an expert opinion is issued. An employee of the plant will not even be able to start manufacturing the cable if the materials issued have not been checked. In the production stages up to laboratory tests, high-tech equipment tracks the smallest errors and defects.
