Astronaut from Stavropol Sergey Teteryatnikov made the first flight to the ISS

On October 1, 2026, at 18:10 Moscow time, the SpaceX Crew-13 mission launched from Cape Canaveral. As part of the international crew, cosmonaut from the Stavropol Territory Sergey Teteryatnikov made his first flight to the ISS. The Crew Dragon spacecraft launched the Falcon 9 rocket into orbit.
The active phase of the flight ended on October 2 at night Moscow time with a successful docking with the Harmony module of the International Space Station. The flight to the station took about 7 hours and 50 minutes. Together with Teteryatnikov, a mission specialist, NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney arrived at the station, as well as a representative of the Canadian Space Agency Joshua Kutrick.
The full crew mission to the station is designed for about six months, the return of the replacement crew to Earth is planned later.
Sergey Teteryatnikov was born on December 19, 1988 in the village of Uspenovka, Mineralovodsk district. He graduated from the Naval Engineering Institute in St. Petersburg with a specialty related to the operation of ship power plants and submarines. He served in the Pacific Fleet, in the cosmonaut detachment of Roscosmos was selected in 2021, received the status of a test astronaut in 2023.
