Kostromich and tourists were left without “Sunrise” until next year
Yaroslavl Transport Prosecutor's Office has completed an inspection of the circumstances due to which the high-speed vessel Voskhod stopped performing flights on the route Yaroslavl - Kostroma - Ples
Passenger traffic on the popular water route Yaroslavl - Kostroma - Plyos suspended until the spring of 2027.
The reason was the decision of the Prosecutor’s office and the management of the shipping company to suspend the crew of the meteor “Sunrise” from work for retraining.
In the summer, the ship was forced to move to the line to Rybinsk to replace the broken ship. However, there the "Sunrise" got into an incident: due to insufficient control by the captain-mechanic, the ship ran aground and damaged the propeller. The inspection confirmed a violation of safety rules.
Now, to rule out similar incidents in the future, the team must undergo additional training.
For residents of Kostroma and guests of the city who planned river walks, this means that high-speed communication along the Volga will not resume this season.
