Kostroma incidents: the former head of the post office closed his loans with the money of a pensioner

Kostroma district court reports on the consideration of the former head of the post office, which law enforcement agencies accused of embezzling 40 thousand rubles one of the pensioners. After reviewing the case, the court found that in 2025, the female postman failed to hand over pension payments to one of the pensioners and therefore returned 40,228 rubles to the head of the post office ... who simply misappropriated “no one’s money” money to himself.

Explaining his act in court, the ex-chief admitted guilt and explained that he needed these funds to repay the loans. Since the accused at the stage of investigation fully compensated the victim for the damage caused by his actions, the court considered it possible not to deprive the accused of liberty and limited himself to imposing a fine of 200 thousand rubles.
