Kostroma companies compensate part of labor protection costs

Employers of the Kostroma region will be able to return more than 114 million rubles paid in the form of insurance premiums. The support measure is intended for organizations and individual entrepreneurs who timely and fully transfer contributions for insurance of employees against industrial accidents and occupational diseases.

Usually employers can receive compensation of up to 20% of the premiums listed for the previous year. If the company sends employees of pre-retirement age and pensioners to sanatorium treatment, the amount of compensation can reach 30%.

Compensated funds are allowed to be used to improve working conditions and prevent occupational injuries. For example, training personnel in safety requirements or purchasing personal protective equipment. In 2026, 343 employers applied to the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia for reimbursement of labor protection costs.
