In the agricultural sector, there is no longer a race for gross figures, but for efficiency. This opinion was expressed by the Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Krutoy at Dazhynka in Shklov, talking with journalists, reports sb.by.

In recent years, the flow of tourists and guests from other countries has increased tremendously in Belarus, said Dmitry Krutoy.

And one of the most important points that all guests note is the quality of food. Belarusians are becoming proud of this quality.

The first Dazhynki was held in 1996 in Stolina, Brest region. The President revived this tradition. It’s been 30 years, and probably the agricultural sector is one of the few that really showed a breakthrough. Today, it is the world standard for any food. Our country is among the five or ten largest exporters in the world. $10 billion in exports is fantastic, which even a decade ago could not have been dreamed of. And demand is constantly growing. A huge number of investment projects are being implemented in the country. Probably, in our investment portfolio, the share of the agricultural sector occupies 20-25 percent, high technologies are being introduced, new world-class products are appearing.

Dmitry Krutoy stressed that the agricultural sector is developing enormously. And the challenges it faces until 2030 are also ambitious

- This is no longer a race for gross numbers. And now we have more than a liter of milk per inhabitant, and in recent years we have also collected enough grain for the basis of animal husbandry, which is developing in the republic. The question of efficiency is already there. In this part, the discussed changes in the rural subsidy system are important.

Dmitry Krutoy recalled the words of the President that the city owed the village. And this kind of help associated with the chef's organizations is one example. When a large industrial enterprise is assigned as chief to agricultural organizations.

- This is one example. No one is asking for any serious investment. Organizations do this themselves. This is the current normal assistance associated with the village, said Dmitry Krutoy.
