Where will the next flight of a free tourist bus go, Milyaev revealed
The Governor of the Tula region Dmitry Milyaev reported on the next trip of a tourist bus to small towns in the region

The Governor of the Tula region Dmitry Milyaev reported on the next trip of a tourist bus to small towns in the region. This time the participants went to Chekalin to get acquainted with its history and sights, said the head of the region in his channel in the national messenger MAX.
Chekalin, which was formerly called Likhvin, in 1944 was renamed in honor of partisan intelligence officer Alexander Chekalin. He died at the hands of the fascists and posthumously received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
During the trip, tourists visited the Devyagorsk-Likhvin Historical and Landscape Museum-Reserve. In the historic building of the Treasury, they visited the exposition “Likhvin Antiquity”, dedicated to the work of departments and the daily life of the county city of the Russian Empire in the XIX - early XX centuries.
Another exposition – “Likhvin’s War Pages” – is located in the former trade shop of merchant Pronin, built in the middle of the XIX century. It tells about the events of the Great Patriotic War. A special place in the history of the building is occupied by the fate of Alexander Chekalin: here the scout of the partisan detachment “Peredova” was subjected to cruel interrogations. The participants of the tour also honored the memory of the Hero in the square, named in his honor.
The walk has ended, Dmitry Milyaev noted in his publication, in the Cathedral Mountain Park. A modern ensemble with recreated wooden towers appeared here in 2020 on the site of the Likhvin fortress of the XVI-XVII centuries. In 2019, archaeologists of the Russian Academy of Sciences found more than 10 thousand artifacts on the territory of the former settlement, including medieval weapons and coin hoards.
The governor also stressed that the next trip of the tourist bus is scheduled for October 24 - the participants will go to Plavsk. You can register on the tourist portal visittula.rf. The announcement and the program are published in social networks on the eve of departure.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality”.
Earlier, MK in Tula told about the possibilities of tourist trips around the region and acquaintance with the history of its small towns. We also announced the dates for the next free tours.
