Where to go on World Tourism Day in Belarus: locations not to be missed

According to the National Tourism Agency, excursions, master classes and thematic meetings are planned in the regions of Belarus in honor of the World Tourism Day.

Minsk: photo contest, excursions and master classes

World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27, and on the eve of the holiday, tourist information centers (TIC) prepared free events. Minsk will host the photo contest “Favorite City” – participants will be able to compete for the title of the author of the best picture of the capital.

Guests are waiting for excursions to iconic objects: the Planeta Hotel, the Victory Cinema, MAZ and MTZ plants, the Dynamo National Stadium, Minsk-Arena, the National Library, the Trostenets Memorial Complex, the Watchmaking Museum. Also planned walking tours in the historical center and the program “Theater behind the scenes”.

Master classes on the traditional technique "vytynka" will be held on September 26 and 27. At the same time, according to the information and tourist center "Minsk", the record for all excursions in the capital is already closed - the number of places is limited.

Gomel: walks around the city and a visit to the temple-museum

In Gomel, the festive events start earlier: on September 24, you can visit an excursion to the house church-museum in honor of the Cathedral of All Belarusian Saints. On September 25 and 26, citizens and guests of the city are invited to free walking tours “Heritage of the Gomel Land” and “Dear Memory...”.

Brest: immersion in the annals of Beresteyshchyna

In Brest, the program is timed directly to festive dates: on September 26, guests are waiting in the Brest Regional Museum of Local History, and on September 27 - in the Museum of the History of the City of Brest. Visitors will be offered a large-scale acquaintance with the history of Berestey region - from ancient times to the present: it will be possible to trace how the city has changed over the centuries.

Grodno: educational routes and thematic walks

In Grodno events will be held from 21 to 25 September: guests will be offered a variety of educational routes with visits to temples and museums. The program includes the Kolozhskaya Church, the Grishuk Arsenal Gallery, the Pokrovsky Cathedral and the Museum of the History of the Fire Service.

Thematic walks deserve special attention: “History with Taste”, “Grodno Angels”, “Beloved Grodno”, “Jewish Grodno” and others.

Other areas: quests, open days and unusual excursions

In different parts of the country TIC has prepared its programs:

Zelven district. September 30 at the recreation center "Berezhki" will host the event "Towards Adventure" - with a quest and sports and entertainment program.

Smorgon district. Sightseeing tour of Smorgony is scheduled for September 25 and 27.

Celtic district. On September 27, they are invited to the excursion “In the footsteps of the history of Kletchina”.

Oshmian district. From 25 to 27 September, an open day is organized here. On September 25 and 26, the quest game “Secrets of the Old City” will be held, on September 26 and 27, a master class on artistic painting of the Golshan gingerbread, and on September 27, a quiz quest “On the pages of the history of the county city” will be held.

Korelić district. From 28 to 30 September, a free tour “There is Peace in the World” is planned. On the same days, tourists are waiting in the private museum of the history and culture of Peace and Jewish life “Mirsky Posad”.

Polotsk district. On September 25, TIC will hold a free sightseeing tour of Polotsk.

All excursions are by appointment - the number of seats is limited. To get to your favorite event, it is worth clarifying the conditions and availability of free seats in the relevant tourist information centers.
