Kursk publicist received the award “Pride of the Nation – 2026”
In Lipetsk, the winners of the VII All-Russian Public Prize “Pride of the Nation – 2026” in the Central Federal District were honored. The award is awarded for personal contribution to ethno-cultural development and strengthening the unity of the peoples of Russia – and this year it sounds special, because 2026 was declared by the President of the Russian Federation the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

In Lipetsk, the winners of the VII All-Russian Public Prize “Pride of the Nation – 2026” in the Central Federal District were honored. The award is awarded for personal contribution to ethno-cultural development and strengthening the unity of the peoples of Russia – and this year it sounds special, because 2026 was declared by the President of the Russian Federation the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
Out of 96 applications for the CFD, the expert commission selected 22 of the best in eight nominations. There was also a special "Energy of Unity", dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The Kursk region was represented by Derenik Koshtoyan, chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Armenians of Russia and a member of the regional Public Chamber. He took 3rd place in the nomination “Service to the unity of the peoples of Russia”.
Derenik Aleksanovich received the award for many years of work to strengthen interethnic harmony in the region. The Kursk branch of the Union of Armenians of Russia headed by him is one of the most active and numerous national associations of the region. It conducts great cultural, educational and charitable work. Derenik Koshtoyan repeatedly came to the aid of IDPs, supported the units of the SVO participants, including the Bars-Kursk brigade.
