September has already surprised the abnormal heat, October also promises to be warmer than usual, but November, according to some forecasts, may bring a surprise: the cold zone will begin to expand, and the first serious Arctic invasions are not excluded in late autumn.

Meanwhile, Moscow authorities announced that the start of the heating season this year will shift to a later date. According to the leading specialist of the weather center “Phobos” Evgeny Tishkovets, batteries in residential buildings of the capital can begin to heat up only in the period from 15 to 20 October.

For comparison, the so-called “communal autumn” usually occurs in the region from about October 5. It is by this date that the average daily air temperature, as a rule, steadily drops to +8 ° C and below - the very threshold after which municipalities are required to start heating.
