Forestry near Moscow found a rare dragonfly

During the implementation of agricultural care on the territory of the Tyutchevsky district forestry, forest guards noticed an unusual insect. It turned out to be a bloody red dragonfly. The name is associated with a characteristic color. This species is found in the central part of Russia near low-flowing reservoirs, overgrown with sedge.

Despite the intimidating name, dragonflies are not dangerous for humans. On the contrary, it benefits from eating mosquitoes and small midges. Forestry officers noted that such meetings in the forest are always pleasant, because in the city such creatures are almost not seen.

The find confirms the diversity of the living world in the forests near Moscow. Specialists continue to observe nature.
