Several employees were awarded the medal “80 years of the Kaliningrad region”. First Deputy Governor Valery Sherin thanked the specialists for their work and noted the importance of preserving the forest fund.
Minister of Natural Resources Oksana Astakhova said that in 2026 not a single fire was allowed on the territory of the state forest fund. For the second year in a row, the region exceeded plans for reforestation, and the number of forest violations decreased by 40%.
At the initiative of the Governor, the forestry system is being revived in the region.
