About 50 naval aviation servicemen of the Baltic Fleet conducted parachute training in the Kaliningrad region. During the training, they made about 100 jumps, practicing actions in difficult conditions.
According to News.ru, the landing took place from a height of 900 meters to 2.5 kilometers. The servicemen jumped from Mi-8 helicopters using the Arbalet and D1-5U parachute systems. One of the tasks was to open the parachute with a delay and land accurately on a limited area.
At the same time, search and rescue and parachute services trained to evacuate people from the plane in distress and provide assistance in emergency situations.
The Baltic Fleet noted that such trainings are included in the mandatory training program for naval aviation pilots. Without jumping, military personnel are not allowed to fly. They should be carried out at least twice a year.
