According to him, in the summer the occupancy rate of domestic health resorts exceeded 90%. In September, sanatoriums also worked with a maximum load of 90%. In total, over 9 months, more than 600 thousand people passed the course of treatment and recovery.
- The effectiveness of their rest is confirmed by experts. According to the Ministry of Health, the therapeutic and healing effect was 96%, Bolbatovsky said.
The speaker also noted that in January-September, revenue from the sale of medical and recreational services grew by 12% and amounted to 1 billion 88 million BYN.
Medical tourism is gaining momentum. During this time, the health of 200 thousand foreign citizens was improved in Belarusian sanatoriums, which brought the country 476 million BYN (an increase of 15% compared to the same period in 2025).
According to the expert, the earned funds sanatorium-resort organizations invest in their own development.
- 194 million BYNs were allocated to strengthen the material and technical base, purchase of modern medical equipment, construction and reconstruction of facilities for 9 months, Bolbatovsky said. For comparison, for the same period last year, this figure barely exceeded BYN 140 million.
The speaker also added that 74% of places were booked in domestic health resorts in November.
- In parallel, the pre-New Year boom started in sanatoriums: vouchers for December and January holidays are actively booked and sold out, Bolbatovsky added.
