Residents of the Lipetsk region explained where the inflated amounts in payments for utility bills come from and how to return the money. About the typical mistakes of public utilities edition «iVBG.ru» told the expert Dmitry Bondar.

Excess amounts most often arise due to the distorted area of the apartment, duplication of services or charges according to the standard instead of meters. The expert recalled that tariffs for light, water, heat and garbage are set by the authorities - management companies do not have the right to change them arbitrarily.

In case of inconsistencies in the receipt, residents are advised to send a claim to the Criminal Code or through the application “Public Services House”. If the organization refuses to make a recalculation, it is necessary to file a complaint with the State Housing Inspectorate or the Antimonopoly Service.
