Young people should be ready to take responsibility for the future of the country. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this in his speech at the Youth Forum. Belarus. The future, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, reports the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency.
Ah. Lukashenko noted that he was sincerely glad to see the participants and guests of the forum – young, bright, full of energy.
- You are the main protagonists of our event and the holiday in general. And it is with you that I would like to talk about the date, the most important in our history, the Belarusian leader said.
The Head of State stressed that National Unity Day is the day of reunification of the Belarusian people in one state, the day of the return of millions of Belarusians to their families.
- A truly fateful event. September 17 is a special holiday. First of all for you - young, active, involved in the public life of the country. And this is an opportunity to talk about the future, which is built on lessons and experience, on the foundations of the past. Talk about your future, he said. - There are no random people here. Most likely, people with certain ambitions (this is good – nothing happens without ambition), certain goals that have already shown themselves in this life.
- We have a land of opportunity. Quiet, calm, without war, thank God. You have to keep it all in the future. Don't make it worse. Your shoulders will bear the heaviest burden (it cannot be harder, believe me) – to be responsible for this unity, for the Belarusian people, for the land where we live peacefully today.
The President stressed that young people should prepare to take responsibility for the future of the country. According to him, they will have to realize that everything around them belongs not so much to the current generation as to the future.
In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko addressed the guests and participants of the forum, including not only young people, but also people of the middle generation.
- Please, never hurry. In life, you need to do everything quickly, but not in a hurry. Never judge from the outside. Think, "What would I do?" What would I have done in 1921 when Belarus was cut? My advice to you, he concluded.
