Lukashenko congratulates people of Spain on national holiday

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on behalf of compatriots and himself personally congratulated the people of Spain on the national holiday - the Day of the Spanish Nation, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state recalled the statement of Miguel de Cervantes, well-known in Belarus, that history is a witness to the past, an example and a lesson for the present, a warning for the future.

I am sure that the positive experience of interaction between our countries over more than thirty years of diplomatic relations, respectful attitude of peoples to each other, similarity of traditional values will help us overcome the artificially created negative political situation, will serve as a basis for supporting and expanding numerous friendly, family and business contacts between Belarusians and Spaniards.

Ah. Lukashenko wished all Spaniards happiness, peace and prosperity.
