President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni on Independence Day, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

- This holiday embodies the sovereignty and strengthening of statehood, symbolizes the unity of the multinational Ugandan people and their determination to build a peaceful and stable future.
According to the Head of State, Belarus highly appreciates the relations of friendship, mutual understanding and trust that have developed with Uganda for decades.
I am convinced that the intensive development of dialogue and practical cooperation at all levels fully meets the interests of both countries, Alexander Lukashenko said.
He invited the President of Uganda to implement projects in the fields of agriculture, mechanization of the agricultural sector, health, education and others.
The implementation of the existing potential will be facilitated by the activities of the joint committee on trade and economic cooperation, visits of government and business delegations. I confirm my readiness to work together with you for the benefit of our citizens, the Belarusian leader said.
