Lukashenko congratulates Putin on successful single voting day

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on the successful holding of a single voting day, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports with reference to the Telegram channel “Pool First”.

- The unprecedented activity of millions of voters and the constitutional majority in the State Duma, confirmed by the United Russia party, is a worthy response to cynical attempts from outside to discredit the campaign and divide the united Russian society, Alexander Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader stressed that the results of the elections convincingly demonstrate the commitment of Russians to Putin’s policy of stable development of Russia, a confident power open to partnership and cooperation.

“I am convinced that the updated composition of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, elected senior officials of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, deputies of all levels will make a significant contribution to the Union building and implementation of our large-scale integration agenda,” the President said.
