Lunin inspectors reminded drivers about the rules on crossings

The traffic police of the Lunin district conducted a preventive action “Stop, before moving!” Its goal is to increase the road discipline of drivers when crossing railway tracks.

The participants of the action explained what administrative liability threatens for violations of traffic rules at crossings.

Each received a special memo with recommendations for safe passage. Special attention was paid to the causes of the most frequent accidents at crossings – ignoring traffic lights and warning signs. The greatest danger is unregulated crossings, where some motorists try to skip in front of an approaching train, risking themselves and others.

According to Article 12.10 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, violation of the rules for crossing a railway crossing is punishable by a fine of 5 thousand rubles or deprivation of a driver's license for a period of three to six months. For repeated violation, deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for one year is provided.
