Magnetic storm October 11: what awaits Pskov
Scientists warn: on October 11, the Earth will cover another magnetic storm

Scientists warn that on October 11, the Earth will cover another magnetic storm. According to astrophysicists of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory, dense clouds of solar plasma are approaching the planet - they were ejected by the Sun in the second half of the week. Two powerful streams merged into a single structure, which is expected to cause a moderate magnetic storm level G2.
Although the main impact of solar activity is predicted for Siberia, the geomagnetic situation will be unstable throughout the planet, including in the Pskov region. The index of geomagnetic activity Kp during peak periods can reach 5-6 points: this corresponds to a storm of medium intensity. At such moments, small malfunctions in sensitive electronics, navigation systems and communication facilities are possible.
After 18:00, the tension will begin to subside, but the magnetosphere will remain excited and unstable until the beginning of the next working week. With a clear sky, the appearance of auroras is not excluded - in some cases they can be seen at latitudes close to Pskov.
Specialists of the Center for Space Weather Forecasting and doctors draw the attention of weather-dependent people: fluctuations in the magnetic field can provoke headaches, migraines, pressure surges and increased fatigue. To reduce the impact of the storm on health, doctors advise:
Remember, the geomagnetic forecast is a guide, not a diagnosis. If you feel worse, be sure to consult your doctor.
