Maximum speed of mobile Internet in 5G networks recorded in the Volga region at MTS
Information and analytical agency TelecomDaily conducted a study of the maximum speeds of mobile Internet in five Russian cities with a million people, where 5G networks are already available - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Ufa.

The highest speeds are recorded in the networks of the operator MTS. According to the study, MTS in the range of 4.9 GHz standard 5G maximum data download speed (Download) reached 1.5 Gbit / s in Ufa, 1.18 Gbit / s in St. Petersburg and 1.16 Gbit / s in Moscow. Other operators follow with a noticeable lag: MegaFon in Moscow - 577.1 Mbit / s, and T2 in St. Petersburg - 437.1 Mbit / s.
The measurements were carried out in the networks of the four largest mobile operators. Mobile operators are working with 5G in the existing frequency resource, redistributing it for a new technology (repharming), as well as in a new range for Russia n79. The latter was recorded at MTS in all five cities of the study. In cities where the operator did not launch 5G, measurements were carried out on LTE networks.
Recall that in the Volga region MTS opened subscribers access to the 5G network in Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan. The new network worked in the city centers, in places with high business activity and the most visited by citizens and tourists locations.
