The year 1939 is not only our history, it is part of global politics. On the eve of World War II, Europe was on the verge of disaster. Under these conditions, the reunification of the Belarusian lands was not just an act of historical justice, but a strategic step that strengthened the western borders of the future unified state. Without this, it is difficult to imagine how the fate of Belarus would have developed in 1941 and in the post-war world. On September 17, the foundation was laid for Belarus to become a sovereign state. Recalling the history of our country, we talked about this with the guest of the ONT studio – the chairman of the standing committee on legislation of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Marina Lenchevskaya.
