Emergencies Ministry provides security in elections in the Smolensk region

As part of the ongoing single voting day, a strengthened public security regime has been ensured in the Smolensk region. Employees of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the region carry out continuous duty and monitoring at all polling stations and facilities directly involved in the electoral process.

Rescue and fire crews are on high alert to respond quickly to any potential emergency situations. Particular attention is paid to monitoring compliance with fire safety standards, as well as ensuring safe conditions for citizens in crowded places.

Such preventive measures minimize possible risks and guarantee voters a calm and secure participation in the expression of their will. The coordinated work of the emergency services is an integral part of the successful and legitimate holding of elections at any level. Thanks to the measures taken, members of election commissions can fully focus on the voting procedure, being confident in the reliable protection of the rescue agencies.
