EMERCOM warns Belarusians of heavy rains on September 24

Heavy downpours are expected in the northern part of Belarus in the morning and afternoon of September 24, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Due to heavy precipitation, disruptions in power supply, a significant decrease in visibility and difficulty in the movement of transport up to its complete stop, damage to power lines, flooding of individual houses, farm buildings, gardens, farmland, roads of local importance are possible.

Overall, cloudy weather is expected on Thursday. It will rain in most of the country. Wind is forecasted northwest, west 4–9 m/s. In places, its gusts will reach 14 m / s. The air temperature will be from +10 to +16 ° C.
