The mayor of Kursk explained the reasons for turning off lighting on the street Energy

Due to the large number of complaints from residents about idle lanterns on the stretch of street Energetik, the city administration decided to clarify the current situation. The reason for the lack of light was the consequences of a road accident that occurred two weeks ago, said Mayor Yevgeny Maslov.
Recall that the car crashed into the power supply support belonging to JSC “KES”. The scale of damage was significant for the entire Seimas district - half of the district was left without electricity. In addition, the pumping stations stopped, which led to interruptions in the water supply. As a result of the short circuit, 34 street lamps failed and completely burned down.
This is why the road is not illuminated. Experts note that it is impossible to simply turn on the switch - first it is necessary to restore the equipment that has failed.
The city suffered direct material damage, estimated at hundreds of thousands of rubles. In this regard, lawyers have already prepared a statement of claim. We will seek full compensation for damage to property through the court, Maslov said.
As for the replacement of equipment, the necessary volumes have already been included in the municipal contract. The documentation is ready, and soon the object will be put up for auction for the purchase of new lamps.
