The head of Lipetsk Mikhail Shcherbakov said that after his publication about the incident in the underground passage, one of the participants in the incident contacted him. On October 9, the mayor met with the young people in person.
According to the mayor, the teenagers apologized for their actions, and the conversation touched upon the consequences of such “entertainment”. Shcherbakov noted that he appreciates the readiness of the guys not to hide and draw conclusions: a mistake can be admitted, and for what they did – take responsibility.
“I hope this conversation will be a good lesson for them. And for all of us – a reminder of a simple thing: the city is our common home, and it should be treated with respect, – said the mayor.
We will remind, on Wednesday, October 7, Shcherbakov saw a video from the underground passage, where the teenagers deliberately lowered the security cameras and showed the lens obscene gestures. The transition was repaired only last year: it invested funds, put in order the walls, lighting and stairs, installed cameras for security. In fact, the incident filed a statement to the police, and records recorded what happened, so to understand the circumstances, according to the head of the city, will not be difficult.
Shcherbakov also appealed to parents and young people with an appeal to take care of city property and each other, recalling that they will have to answer for damage to other people's property.
