A snowstorm and strong wind await residents of two districts of Yamal on November 7

According to the Yamalo-Nenets CGMS – a branch of the FGBI “Ob-Irtysh UGMS”, on November 7 in the Krasnoselkup district and in the south of the Purovsky district, a blizzard and strong wind are predicted. This was reported by representatives of Yamalspas on their pages in social networks.

In these areas, it is expected to increase the southwestern wind with gusts of 15-18 meters per second, snow and blizzards with visibility at times in 500-1000 meters. Ice phenomena are possible.

The temperature at night will be from five to ten degrees of frost, with cloudiness, warming to zero is possible. During the day it will be cloudy with clarifications, in places small and sometimes moderate precipitation in the form of snow and wet snow is predicted.

Yamal residents are urged to be careful on the roads and refuse long trips if visibility deteriorates.

The Ob crossing between Salekhard and Labytnangi on November 7 is operating in limited mode due to deteriorating weather conditions. There are two ferries on the line.
