Meteorologist Evgeny Tishkovets: the Moscow region will meet a week of rain

The Moscow region is entering a period of unstable weather. According to the expert of the center “Phobos” Evgeny Tishkovets, the beginning of the week will be abnormally warm for October, but on Tuesday the nature of the weather will change dramatically. Closer to the weekend, the region will receive a short respite, and in the last decade of the month, the transition of precipitation into a solid phase is possible.

Monday will be the warmest day of the week. Night temperatures are expected at +10...+13, which is 10 degrees above the climate norm and corresponds to August rather than October. During the day, the air warms up to +13 ... + 16. However, the heat will be accompanied by rains: a day can fall up to 3-5 mm of precipitation, and in the morning, thunderstorms are not excluded - the phenomenon for mid-autumn is atypical. The wind is south, moderate.

A cold front will pass through the region on Tuesday. It will bring intense showers - up to 15 mm in 18 hours - and a noticeable drop in temperature: during the day, thermometers will remain in the range of +10 ... + 13. On Wednesday and Thursday, the front zone will linger over the capital: rains will continue, but will become weaker, and there will be gaps in the cloud cover. At night it gets colder to +6 ... +9, in the afternoon - up to +9 ... +12.

The weather will start to improve on Friday. Under the influence of anticyclone, dry weather with a large daily course of temperature will be established: at night + 5 ... + 8, during the day + 11 ... + 14. In the predawn hours, fog is possible. Saturday will be similar, and on Sunday the weather will start to deteriorate again.

The most uncertain part of the forecast concerns the last decade of October. One of the scenarios of hydrodynamic modeling allows the breakthrough of “diving” cyclones in Central Russia and the Volga region. This would lead to a noticeable cooling: at night - about zero, during the day - no higher than +2 ... +5. With this development, precipitation can turn into wet snow - the first of this season. However, alternative calculations do not yet confirm this.
